This is a multistory Persona 5 based Role Play Group. If you’re wondering what that means, well it means that we have no real ‘set’ storyline for the group itself, but several ‘required’ stories that demand members involvement, several ‘leisure’ stories that are sign-up based, and some ‘seasonal’ events that come and go depending on the time of year it is!
This group is entirely based upon member activity, and because of that we offer a myriad of innovative new things to keep the involvement in the group going, including: Seasonal Writing Contests (complete with real life prizes!), Seasonal Editing Contests (complete with editing prizes!), Personal Rp areas set to the theme of any event storyline, Member Setup RP Events, and Open Location Based RPs.
Our discord server is also open to the public, and it isn’t a requirement that you have to be involved or interested in the group to join the server! It’s guest-friendly to everyone that joins it, and has people from various roleplaying sites.
While we are selective about the applicants that we allow to join the group, there is a reason behind it, which is simply that we don’t want to see applicants struggle while involved in the group, because this is a multipara-novelist level group (between 400-5000 words per post), and to throw someone in who wouldn’t be able to keep up wouldn’t be good for anyone!
Ultimately we seek to revive the Persona 5 verse, as well as bring new writers together from various sites and make everlasting friendships through the writing that we do!
"There I was, at the base of the final dungeon..." Hands kept a white-knuckled grip upon the straps of her backpack. It felt weird to be wearing one again... She hadn't needed one since middle school, but how else was she supposed to haul her inventory? Notebooks, text books, an arsenal of utensils; Sojiro helped her stock up real good! So there was no reason for her to feel unprepared, right? Despite that, standing in front of Shujin's gates was crazy intimidating... It's not like she hadn't been there before. Akira and Makoto helped her get semi-acquainted with the school in the past. But now? She was more than just an observant visitor. The iconic uniform she wore proved that. She sorta treated it like a DLC costume! It worked, right? Sojiro paid for her to wear it and it was vastly different from her usual equipment, so...[break][break]
"Hours of dauntless grinding in Akihabara, charging into the greatest conglomerations of social interaction; This is what you've been training for, Futaba! Bet school uses the charisma stat..." Ever dramatic! Though not nearly so much as Yusuke. He had a greater penchant for spontaneous theatrics, and hardly suffered any embarrassing repercussions. Futaba's confidence wasn't high enough for that sort of thing. The moment she became the center of attention, her CPU succumbed to total burn-out. Not a pretty sight, given the subsequent panic episode that followed...[break][break]
"Courageous as she may be, the heroine can't go at it alone... A key item is necessary! But not just any key item..." Futaba adjusted her glasses, the motion causing them to glint in broad daylight. A mischievous sneer played across her lips. It was time to set her plan into motion! Given the time, the Priestess would be stepping in any moment now...[break][break]
"I summon thee, High Priestess! Henceforth, you shall be my Key Item, MAKOTO—" Just as she had swiftly turned upon her heels, pointing forcefully in the opposite direction, she found her painted nail centimeters from the nose of an unsuspecting student. Futaba froze, looking dead ahead with enlarged oculars. As if her eccentric performance weren't enough to gain notoriety... Most of the passing students had stopped to examine the commotion, acting as her whispering audience.[break][break]
Her blood ran cold. Her ears were ringing! She could already feel her temperature flashing between hot and cold..! And then..![break][break]
The male extended his hand, slowly returning to her an accessory that she had unwittingly discarded. In his palm was her Featherman keychain, previously attached to her book bag... "Sorry... I think you dropped this in the station." It didn't take long for people to lose interest and move on. Shujin Academy students could eat up a good rumor! But for the most part, everyone kept to themselves or their own circles.[break][break]
"M-My keychain..!" The bespectacled girl — albeit without rude intent — snatched the object from his hand. Back turned to her fellow student, she raised the small charm close to her face, subjecting it to her thorough scrutiny. "Speak to me, Green Parakeet! Any scratches!? Cracks!?" After assuring that the item suffered no serious damage, Futaba sighed heavily in relief. "Whew... That was close." Slowly, she turned around to see the helpful NPC still standing there. He seemed reasonably confused... as anyone would be, after witnessing Futaba's weirdness in all its glory. Which, it was charming in its own right..! She had totally maxed the cute stat![break][break]
"Um... Nice save..! Definitely owe ya one. So..." Hands clasped behind her back, she anxiously teetered back and forth on the balls of her feet. "First day of the new semester and all! Don't wanna be late. I'll, uh... I-I'll see you in class..! Maybe. Guess that kinda depends on what classes we have... N-Nevermind! Laters!" She didn't give him the opportunity to respond before making a clumsy escape. Darting a little ways down the street, she crouched alongside the nearest vending machine. There, she'd feed upon the shadowy seclusion and recover her strength![break][break]
"Too close. Waaaaay too close... My heart's pounding like crazy..!" It took a few minutes and several deep breaths to regain her already slim composure. Raising her head from the concrete, Futaba looked towards the now distant corner that she was certain Makoto would emerge from. It'd make sense that she'd be coming from the station too, right? Unless she took a different route... even if it'd be less convenient. OR, she could have already been inside the school! Student Council peeps met early sometimes, didn't they? She expeditiously analyzed all of Makoto's options, in terms of walking distance and methods of transportation.[break][break]
"Where is Makoto anyway? Thought she'd be here by now." Removing her bag from her person, she shuffled through its contents to retrieve her phone.
[attr="class","red-txt"] Makoto's normal routine had taken a bit of a detour that morning thanks in part to her sister accidentally sleeping in past all of her alarms. Sae had been going all but constantly as of late, so it made sense that she needed some rest. The brunette didn't mind taking care of her sister every now and again, though; she did so much for her after all. Waking her up with breakfast and her lunch made was the least Makoto could do for her. [break][break] As soon as she got done with that endeavor she was out the door, her tote slung over her shoulder and her hair neatly brushed and braided into place. The light makeup she applied was enough to bring a bit of color into her normally pale complexion, and the small smile she was harboring added to that even more so. How could she not be happy? Futaba was coming to school after all this time! It had taken quite a bit of coercion on her part, much less after their little tour around the campus, but it had paid off! She was going to help her underclassman finally settle into school life! [break][break] It was then that the time really dawned on poor Makoto, realizing she was already ten minutes later than she usually was as she hastened her steps. She'd been planning on surprising Futaba bright and early at the station so that they could ride together, but how was she supposed to do that on her less than stellar morning start? She was sure the younger female would be fine without her for a few minutes, at least, and thankfully the train was still there when she finally made it to the station. A quick ride over and she'd send the girl a message so they could meet up. [break][break] Or...so she thought. [break][break] As soon as she was off the subway her phone chimed with a message, the girl she'd just been wondering about's name flashing across her screen. Oh no, this was worrisome. [break][break] >>Where are you?? [break][break] She had been about to reply when she rounded the corner of the building, noticing a familiar silhouette lurking by one of the vending machines. A soft sigh exuded from the brunette's lips, followed by another small smile, as she moved to walk towards her. [break][break] "Have you been waiting long?" Makoto finally asked as she approached her, that smile becoming a little more apologetic as she tried to get her attention, "My older sister ended up sleeping in today and I had to help her get around for work...sorry about that." [break][break] With the way that Futaba seemed to be standing, she could only assume something had happened in her absence, those bright crimson irises of hers glazing over with worry. "Was everything okay when you got here? You didn't have any problems, did you..?" [break][break] Did Makoto know better before she even asked? Yes. But that didn't stop her from asking anyway. She wanted to be able to help her underclassmen get used to the normal hustle and bustle of the school, especially if she wanted to be able to make it through the day. That was what Makoto was gunning for, after all. "Things will get better once you get used to being around so many people...probably. Oh, I have to make a stop by the student council room before we head to the assembly hall, would you mind accompanying me, Futaba?" [break][break] Luckily, the assembly would mean an hour or so of listening rather than helping Futaba find her way to her classrooms, which would be beneficial for them both on the first day. Though...being around so many people did have Makoto slightly worried.
Still crouched beside the vending machine, Futaba immediately perked up upon Makoto's arrival. "Oh, hey!" Standing to her feet, she hauled her bag onto her back. From the way she maneuvered it, it seemed like it was pretty heavy... But rest assured, everything inside was an absolute necessity! Just the standard stuff: Notebooks, paper, utensils, a handheld in case she got bored between classes, and a couple packages of instant yakisoba! She assumed there would be a microwave in the cafeteria. This was currently her only food source, so... she'd be in trouble otherwise. Made her think of the time she despaired over there being no standard microwave in Destinyland. Except, rations provided by the school would seem like prison food compared to the alternatives there...[break][break]
"Nah, it's cool. I figured something was up. You're not the kinda person that would just bail on a friend, y'know?" Having thoroughly analyzed each of her newfound friends, she'd deemed Makoto the dutiful honor student archetype. It was a pretty common one in anime and video games! Honestly, most of her friends aligned with several tropes and media paradigms... But, that was aside from the point![break][break]
One thing that came with belonging to the honor student type was keen observational skills. Of course Makoto would be the one to question Futaba's well being. Several yards away from the school gate, hiding in the shadows, it was pretty obvious that her anxiety had kicked in at some point. But, Futaba made a habit of crouching like that anyway. It just made her feel more secure, even if it didn't do her posture any favors. "I'm good! Just got a little nervous. There's so many people here..." A little nervous? More like severely. Looking back at everyone now, still piling into this one building... it made her feel nauseous.[break][break]
"It's not like I didn't know it'd be like this. It was the same when I came with you and Akira. All kids have to go to school, so it makes sense." Determined to make the best of a scary situation, Futaba shook her head. The only thing to fear is fear itself! This was her first day at an actual high school... She wasn't going to half-ass it! "But, I'm okay! If I stick around long enough, it'll make Sojiro really proud. AND, I'll be able to cross another goal off my promise list! That means I get a reward!" Futaba thrived on motivation. She could cross the bridge as long as she knew something good was on the other side! Even if some of those bridges were rickety and had sharks swimming underneath them..![break][break]
"It's easier going through with it knowing I have someone with me... That's why you're my Key Item this go!" Every good party needed a healer in their midst! The Priestess was perfect for the position! Futaba raised her hand in salute, beaming before her strong confidant. "Aye Aye, Captain! Lead the way. I'll let you be Player One this round." With a renewed spirit, the hermit stepped from her makeshift safe room, keeping directly behind Makoto. Today was going to be nerve-wracking, but she couldn't let this be a meaningless effort... It'd make Akira and her mom proud too, right? The thought of them both smiling down at her, gingerly patting her head... It made her that much more eager to go at it 110%![break][break]
"My heart's still pounding... but, it's different now. I'm still nervous, but I can tell I'm excited too."
[attr="class","red-txt"] Makoto couldn’t help but feel a little relief at seeing Futaba jump back up like she did, the president all but ready to go and track down any culprit that might’ve given the girl a rough time while the brunette was on her way. She had the gumption to do so now after all; once upon a time she would’ve turned a blind eye to something like that. It was a real blessing that she’d changed that for the better. [break][break] “A-Ah…well, that’s true…” She was still mentally kicking herself for running late in the first place, but at least Sae had gotten a good night’s sleep in for once. Maybe running late this one time wasn’t a bad thing after all, especially if Futaba didn’t seem too bothered by it. [break][break] Since the shorter female was already pushing Makoto towards the building she gracefully took the lead, holding open the door as she did so that her charge could follow her in. With the prospect of an assembly meeting going on, the hallways did seem a little more packed than usual; not having to be in class right as the bell rang meant that much more conversing and the like could happen within the student body. Looks were cast the duo’s way when they came in however, partly because of the Student Council President heading their walk, and partly because of the girl all but latched to her from behind. Makoto didn’t really seem to mind it, especially considering how busy the area really was. She didn’t want to end up accidentally leaving Futaba behind if they’d walked a little bit apart after all. [break][break] Unlike before, all the gazes of the other students felt less condescending and more curious when resting upon Makoto’s shoulders, a sigh of relief exuding from her lips. Sure there were still those who were apprehensive about how little she’d done in the past as the head of the council, but even they could see the change in the brunette’s demeanor, one of the reasons harboring a death grip on her uniform. This was the least she could do to make it up to her underclassmen. [break][break] “The auditorium is this way,” she stated, pointing towards the double doors down the hallway on the right side. If they’d had more free time, Makoto would’ve liked to take Futaba through the hallways and direct her to their lockers and such, but alas that would have to wait until after the assembly. Thankfully, they were never too long, and the bit of time they gave to get to class afterwards would definitely be beneficial to the pair. “There’s only a few minutes before everything starts, so why don’t we head inside?” [break][break] The auditorium was fairly empty once the two of them made their way inside, groups of students filing in behind the duo to grab seats before everything began. Makoto guided them towards the front, picking out a pair of seats not far from the stage for easier access; she’d have to get up to join the new principal, after all. She just hoped Futaba would be alright during that time. Granted she was tough, and she’d bolstered about how having Makoto around as her ‘key item’ would be helpful in its own regard, so maybe things would go without a hitch. That’s what our resident president hoped, at the very least. [break][break] Those words about excitement definitely eased some of the brunette’s worries about the endeavor, even as the auditorium became packed with student life. One of her hands had instinctively reached out to touch Futaba’s arm in a comforting gesture, a small smile gracing her lips once she looked over at her. [break][break] “Most days won’t be as crowded as it is in here, thankfully,” she began softly, just over the murmur of the crowd, “but I’ll do my best to make it easier to handle. If there's anything you need, feel free to ask me, okay?" Unfortunately not much else could be said before the assembly began, Makoto's hand remaining on the smaller girl's arm until it had to be moved. Mementos or not, she was going to do her best to be the support that Futaba needed.
Due to people continually abusing our advertising section, we've opted to remove it. It became really impossible for certain sites to see if we were active or not because Reflections basically became a dumping ground of advertisements, and this wasn't from one single site, but multiple who kept reposting the same advert as if it was going out of style. For now our affiliation section can be found in the General part of the forum, with a link to it listed in our top area. Considering that we don't go out of our way to pollute other people's sites with advertisements we found that it was only fair to fully remove them. Thank you for your understanding.
